By accessing or using the Deep Canon platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the platform. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the platform.
Description of Service
Deep Canon provides an institutional art research platform that aggregates publicly available museum holdings data, exhibition history, and edition records for use by collectors, dealers, and auction professionals. The platform is offered on a subscription basis with limited free-tier access.
User Accounts
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Deep Canon reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Permitted Use
Deep Canon grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the platform for personal or internal professional research purposes. You agree not to:
Copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit platform data without express written permission
Use automated scripts, scrapers, or bots to extract data from the platform
Attempt to reverse engineer or circumvent any security or access controls
Use the platform to develop a competing product or service
Share subscription credentials with unauthorized third parties
Intellectual Property
The Deep Canon platform, including its design, codebase, and proprietary data compilations, is owned by Deep Canon and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Factual data sourced from open-access museum APIs and published under Creative Commons licenses remains subject to those licenses.
The Deep Canon name, logo, and product names are trademarks of Deep Canon and may not be used without prior written consent.
Data Accuracy Disclaimer
Deep Canon aggregates data from third-party institutions and open-access sources. While we strive for accuracy, we make no representations or warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any data displayed on the platform. Users should independently verify information before making purchasing, financial, or legal decisions based on platform data.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deep Canon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform. Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you for platform access in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware.
Modifications
Deep Canon reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the platform following notice of modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
